Yes, gotcha! We had a Thai delivery service like that we used to order from. Despite clearly labeling the dishes as vegan they regularly used fishsauce, put eggs in it or even chicken once… Super frustrating and there wasn’t many other vegan options. After many fuck-ups we lost trust in that restaurant we got super paranoid everytime a dish tasted “fishy” so we stopped ordering from there.
Fish is not vegetarian tho, they usually use seaweed and mushroom sauce in vegetarian dishes
Someone cares to explain why this comment gets downvoted?
In my experience the only non-vegan ingredient in asian vegetarian dishes is eggs, and around here it is absolutely no problem to ask for extra-tofu instead. What sauces are you refering to?
Very interesting read, gives me flashbacks of my old self 10 years ago when i started asking myself the exact same questions. It took me two years to gather enough experience, cookingskills and knowledge to realise there is no strong reason left for me not to be vegan. To me the realisation that there is no ethical alternative only fully made sense after i reached that point where i felt confident beeing able to sustain myself healthily and comfortably without animal products. I think lots of people feel pressured when beeing confronted with the ethical issues of animal farming because they don’t feel empowered beeing able to change their behaviours.
Free Willy! <3
i never saw plant-based milk even near the cow-milk sector in any store i’ve been at, usually there is a seperate shelf for those. Is that different for the UK? Idk who needs to be protected here but it doesn’t seem to me that the consumer is in any danger of buying & drinking the wrong kind of milk :x
We will see (or not) who has the last laugh, crabs or homo sapiens sapiens?
Was thinking the same, nothing in there really striking me as innovative. But good to know Fraunhofer institute is dedicating ressources into plant-based research.
interesting read, always good to know to which stimuli our primate brain reacts. But i fear marketeers (is that how you call people in marketing?) will use this to maximise profit instead of reducing waste
Vegan Sucuk? Eager to try!

Unpopular opinion i guess but here we go. The event was scripted but not the fight. Mike’s knee was hurt, he came into the fight bandaged and on some videos of him prefight you can see how slow and wobbly he is on his feet. He came in hot but after round two it seems like he hurt his knee. Round 3-8 Mike was basically standing his ground in peekaboo stance and had no real ability to enter the longer reach of Jake who didn’t force an early decision and played it out respectfully while still having to be careful about Mike’s hands. I personally enjoyed the event, we all have this question in some form at some point: “What if this old legend came back into the sport, would he/her be able to compete?”. I didn’t come to watch a carnage, i was curious, how far the legend could push himself at 58 and i got my answer, i was entertained.
Dear Santa take this article as my whishlist! Much love xxx
