No, no… the non-giltter bomb definitely still needs a charge. The bigger the better to avoid making the not-glitter too densely focused, aye?
Time to stop using lemmy.world communities, fellas.

Absolutely no one there wants to talk about it.5·1 day agoAye, it surprises most folks who move to the ‘country’ how many of the people out there are employed in the prison industry. I think where I was in a rural area (about 20 people per square mile) about 5-8% of the jobs in the entire county were because of the local prison.

Growing up on a farm means you have some wicked advanced knowledge compared to other kids your age, but can introduce some really hilarious beliefs…
I never thought about why I thought women were more like our chickens than our horses/cows, but eh, some things just pan out.

burntbacon@discuss.tchncs.deto People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•I... Genuinely only realizing this now1·1 day ago…that seems like it must have been faked. Even if the nerves had been burned off, that’s serious damage. Nerves are in the dermis, and if that gets burned seriously enough to make all the nerve endings dead, you’re going to have a bad time. Just because the pain isn’t being felt also doesn’t prevent further damage.

… no, wait, fuck 45! 46!
The globe? Sure. A region, or even a country? It’s more common than you think. Sales, ‘professionals’ with conferences, and people that work for large companies that have people meeting… these all move large amounts of folks around for work, and hotels are easy to book, invoice to the company, and are generally next to a conference center or have it in the same building.

Those will almost certainly come back to some entity or person that will clue the dispatchers in on them being government owned.

It’s another tool of power for a tyrannical government to wield, even if it is against companies I dislike.

(more pictures and details in description)English6·2 days agoThat’s amazing. How did you build the vertical space? I built about 300 observation towers into a lovely platform to ‘skydive’ from, and then my game lagged out. I have a really old comp, so it was expected, but still grumbling worthy. I couldn’t really get the hang of the vertical building without stacking and deleting platforms.
burntbacon@discuss.tchncs.deto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Why is cottage cheese the only cheese defined by some relationship to a building?31·2 days agoIsn’t that cheddar? Or whatever the european continent version is? The name of the cheese changes depending on whether they cover the cheese with cheesecloth, burlap, plastic/wax, or bared before leaving it in a cave? https://culturecheesemag.com/recipes/diy/age-appropriate-make-cheese-cave/ or https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2337837/The-cheese-cave-Damp-conditions-Welsh-countryside-ideal-place-store-maturing-cheddars.html
If I remember correctly, most of the modern aging processes try to mimic natural caves, since we just don’t have enough of the real thing to age all of our cheese.

Holy shiiiiiit. At levels 15+, you’re basically living legends that are about to start conquering kingdoms singlehandedly and fighting gods. That’s not “a talented musician,” that’s the dude who leads month long rave parties that brings in all the nobility’s children and starts a religion that is then used with said children to start coups in the continental region.
Holy shit, what the fuck? I think I read one edding’s book and didn’t think much of it, but what the fuck?! Where’s my interrobang button!?
OOh, I know at least one of these! (thanks, vet friend! or maybe not…)
Horses are vascular, like us, while cows have a bone that shoots out!
I’m not sure about you, either, because I can go from 1,2,3 all the way until I get boned.
burntbacon@discuss.tchncs.deto politics @lemmy.world•Friends say Minnesota shooting suspect was deeply religious and conservative5·5 days agoThe real answer to your unstated question is that they can (hopefully) get away with the murder and not be discovered. It would be nearly impossible to divorce without the entire community knowing.
Most christians (conveniently) forget the little jesus parable about comparing the priest publicly donating and praying in the street to the woman quietly putting a much smaller amount in the donation coffers. To the modern christian, being a part of the ‘in-group’ by publicly making everything about their religion IS the way they engage with their religion. If they were to be rejected by the ‘religious community’ ONLY THEN would they care.
Right, but what if you were a teenager, still mostly inexperienced and vulnerable to people claiming to be authorities, and it was just presented to you rather than being sought out? We’ve already seen it happen on tumblr, back in its heyday. That sort of ‘happenstance education’ can shape your ideas for the rest of your life.
