It’s not a Minecraft clone, there are FPS games implemented with it, base-builders, etc. I didn’t look into it in detail, just thought that there is a chance it it could fit your needs.

It is quiet here! At least at first. Lemmy does not have millions of users, more like hundreds of thousands. Also, there tends to be a lot of content shared that gets zero comments. This doesn’t mean no one cares, it’s just that a lot of the content is of the nature “hey, here’s a good article about black holes or sea sponges or whatever” and that’s it. No need for a discussion, just sharing interesting stuff. (There are definitely discussions like on reddit though depending on topic/community)

Also, you probably have your default setting showing you your “home” feed when you start the app. This only shows you communities/users you have followed (called subscribed here). The “all” feed shows you everything, and “local” shows you everything on your server. Start with “all” until you have figured out at least some aubscriptions.

Does anyone here have any real world experience with this distro? It seems like an interesting mix, but I’ll not sure if I’m really going to have any gains compared to what I run now (bazzite).

I have been using bazzite for a while, and I’m quite happy with it, especially in the respect that it just does not break, ever.

But not can it be frustrating sometimes to install things that have no flatpak or appimage.

That being said, there are a lot of ways to get around this, homebrew and distrobox, etc. And its also not something the deva are sound wrong, it’s just part of the deal with immutable distros. Will frustrating at times though.

This is crazy. I wonder if I could then install waydroid, then Linux in that, then waydroid again…

They have integrated hardware, so they are great for all sorts of electronics projects. A bit more towards electrical engineering than raspberry pi though.

Well, that’s not the shitty part. I’m not saying that this is going to replace how we use the internet, but the idea behind it is intriguing.

First off, you are not pathetic, the world is depressing. And just having the intent to do this is a great start. Be kind to yourself, no one else can do that for you.

The first thing to do is forget all of those grand ideas about having a giant garden with all sorts of produce. Even if that is your end goal, don’t think about that! It will only demotivate you, because it seems so far away from where you are now.

The second thing to do is go to your local library and get some books about gardening. The simpler the better, is they have gardening books for kids then start with those.

Read those books. Take some easy examples, like herbs, lettuce, or garlic. Start small, and don’t overdo yourself. Try to enjoy what you are doing, and stay with the present task. Don’t push yourself immediately to do more.

Let that enjoyment be your guide. If you can focus on feeling good about what you are doing, then the rest will come without effort.

It is indeed a cooling mechanism. Most people don’t think about it much, but we humans are expectationally good at shedding excess heat through sweat. Other species don’t have such heat dissipation, and Hebe to do whatever they can to get a not of cooling.

I don’t agree with the assumption that any of the LLMs are super intelligent. They aren’t even close to actual human intelligence, and most real-world experience has shown that they are best used as a tool, like a graphing calculator.

We are also a long way off from a fully automated industry. The energy required for a fully staffed AI workforce is staggering, the current usage of AI isn’t even sustainable, let alone powering millions of physical bots plus the AI needed for piloting them.
