I mean, I did find this post because it got pushed to the top of my Active feed…
Lemmy does in fact have algorithms. Just transparent ones

science@lemmy.world•TIL that 4 out of 5 toddler foods are ultraprocessed. Nearly half fail to meet nutrition standardsEnglish
27·13 days agoJust cut up fruits and vegetables. They love those. No need to get special toddler snacks. Raisins are healthier than fruit snacks. The ultra processed foods are mostly sold for their convenience, and should be used sparingly.
If I summarized Alice’s Restaurant, none of the jokes would land. This piece is in the same caregory

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What to put on a CV when I have nothing to put there?
15·19 days agoTroubleshooting is an underrated skill. We’ve had so many technicians struggle because they lacked troubleshooting skills, many leave after a few months to a year, and some do eventually pick it up, but man is it nice to have a new hire that already knows how to look up manuals and troubleshoot

Anti-AI@lemmy.blahaj.zone•The AI is poisoning FOSS and my sanity
4·1 month agoI mean, shouldn’t a bug be patched regardless of who finds it? Some bugs are vulnerabilities, especially if a single AI code review can find dozens of them. If the kernel maintainers don’t find them first, then security goes out the door in short order.

2·2 months agoI’m actually a big fan of gnome! I remember watching the countdown to gnome 3 back in 2012. It felt like the modern next step for Linux desktops. But then they never made a straightforward way to add applets and extensions that didn’t break every few years, and they have limited configuration options out of the box. I love the gestures and desktop management when I have 1 monitor, but that breaks down as soon as you add a second.
I still use gnome on my laptop, but I’ve always been a desktop andy. My desktop runs KDE Plasma at the moment, and it’s so nice to be able to customize it in an intuitive and straightforward way.

For me, if I can force myself to move, even if it’s a walk, yoga session, VR, etc. it can help me to mentally reset. It generally boosts my energy levels, or makes me tired enough to drown out the whatifs and sleep.

Wait that’s a thing?
Edit: I looked it up. It’s called AG-GAG, and it’s unfortunately a thing.
