Early on in my marriage my wife would pull this crap. One day I told her that I wasn’t a mind reader and that if she didn’t want to tell me what the problem was that I was going to go about my day and enjoy it, which I did. I followed up with her about 2 hours later and asked her if she was ready to tell me and she unloaded. I told her I’d work on the things that she had bottled up and said that a marriage can only work if we both communicate. She shouldn’t be afraid to come to me with what’s bugging her. Ever since then she’s been open and honest. Really helped our marriage improve and evolve. She’s a lot more mature now.
So when my wife says that she’s “fine” I take it at face value and we both move on because she knows that if she wants to vent she can. She also knows I won’t dig it out of her and why.
Oh this one is clever and you just ruined that word for me.
The Trump administration is so far right it’s making Texas look liberal.
That’s a good angle I hadn’t considered.
I grew up on the east coast and the power would go out almost every storm thanks to blown transformers.
I moved to Colorado 18 years ago and I’ve had 2 outages since. 1 was planned maintenance we were given plenty of warning of and the other was because a vehicle hit a ground transformer and took it out, power was restored the same day. They’re eons ahead of anywhere with lines still on poles. Everything gets buried here on build out. It’s freaking great.
I’ve never needed to 100% any game. For me that isn’t fun. What’s fun is the journey. Beyond that I’m not interested.
The CEO and C Suite are the least important people in a company. They can be changed out with relatively little interruption and it takes a lot longer to see the effects. However, you have an on the ground workforce stop producing and the effects are immediate and long lasting.
Distant Worlds albums are great orchestral versions of Final Fantasy themes. I use them at work when I need to concentrate and block out my peers.
How old is this? I do all of that on my phone …
Mainly JRPGs because they’re turned based and I’m grinding. Going through FFVI right now on a RG40XXV. Love that little thing.
Oh that’s a great one too!
That’s my teenage son right now on my computer. “Dad, can I leave the computer on overnight for a flight to Japan?” Yeah, he’s way into it and all the ATC stuff while having a laptop on the side for god knows what he’s playing/watching at the same time. I joke with friends that he could legit hijack a 737 and fly it from dead off to landing it across the globe. Last startup procedure he did that was “real quick” was 20 damn minutes because he skipped a few nonessential pieces of the checklist. Lol.
Ok, that was a time sink. Good fun.
lol, yep. It just cemented the fact that I don’t have that personality. I figured out Balatro, then it wasn’t as fun anymore and gave it up.
I do this but it’s usually with a Brit murder mystery or classic movie. If I’m watching something I love like Silo or Severance then that gets my full attention.
Average across the nation. They’re $12/dozen here.
Could be Colorado. They’re over $12/dozen. Batshit crazy here.
Same. Ours is already approved and we have it. Just waiting on state at this point (slow ass CO).
Bury your lines east coast!
Cheers
