  • He may had a problem with this specific one. And I don’t believe it’s about satisfaction, more about what he had to do.

He wrote deny, defend, depose onto the bullet casings.

Also this sends a message that may motivate others to stand up against the system.

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” John F. Kennedy

I would believe that in those spheres of power they would have booked a hitman with better hardware and training. His pistol could not properly cycle and he took quite long between shots. Also he had the possibility to move up to the guy and shoot him in the back of the head to save some time but preferred to shot multiple into his back from further away. For me it seems more likely it was an act of Vigilantism.

It happened in France for example. Now it would not be public killings by guillotine of course but multiple independent attacks by ied/gun/fpv against guys like that ceo are surely thinkable.

  • Thanks for easing my mind a little. You definetly did in perspective to labor.

You also reminded me I already had my first encounter with a callcenter AI by telekom and it was just as useless as the human equivalent, they seem to get similar training!

I just hope it won’t hinder or replace interhuman connection on a larger scale cause in this sphere mediocrity might be enough and we are already lacking there.

The albeit small but present virtual girlfriend culture in Japan really shocked me and I feel we are not far away from things like AI-droid wives for example.

I’m so happy I don’t give a fuck about looking cool or having nice effects in a game.

The only one I ever spend more bucks than I had to is Path of Exile. And the supporter packs give you your whole worth of money spend as premium currency plus you get the usual skins, emotes and tracking tools.

I totally feel that I’m okay with buying functional stuff like inventory space if the system itself feels fair.

In 10 years and around 5000h (only game I play except tarkov for a while) in I spend 122€ so a mount for 90 bucks seems crazy.

  • I admit I understand nothing about ai and haven’t used it in any way nor do I plan to. It feels wrong for me and I believe it might fuck us harder than social media ever could.

But the pictures it creates, the stories and conversations don’t seem like hot air. And I guess, compared to the internet we are at the stage where the modem is still singing the songs of its people. There is more to come.

I heard it can code at a level where entry positions might be in danger to be swapped for ai. It detects cancer visually, recognizes people by the way they walk in China. Also I fear that vulnerable persons might fall for those conversation bots in a world where there is less and less personal contact.

Gotta admit I’m a little afraid it will make most of us useless in the future.

  • It was not ours to decide after the war but its an interesting thought. I’d like to see the outcome of that alternative timeline.

Many of the administrative positions were still filled with former Nazis. Most germans in denial of what happened. Also the winning powers seemed far more interested in the spoils of war compared to a just but self-limiting gesture of goodwill.

Sketchy ground for such huge undertaking that would have made german willingness and acceptance paramount.

Also the first thing that comes to my mind is that this decision would jave encaged the victims with the perpetrators. Tough deal to sell to the world.

  • Most probably suspect it’s genocide and know they, by not speaking out, at least support it passively. But it just doesn’t matter for their immediate or the near future, so nothing will happen. Thoughts and prayers…

I see two main culprits that enable Israel to eradicate the Palestinian people and their livelihood in manner and speed we see now. The US and germany. Many other western political elites seem far more divided on the topic but probably fear the backlash of speaking out.

70% of the weapons come from the US and they will never stop to supply their FOB. Democrats or republicans will veto everything and make it as hard as possible to even reach a clear global verdict on what happened and how to classify it.

Most of the remaining 30% come from germany.

Here the key argument is that Israel is worthy of unwavering support due to the historical fact of the holocaust and the inhumane acts inflicted on the Jewish population.

Scholz said recently that the security of Israel is a National interest of germany. As a german I feel this too, although for me the state of Israel and the global jewish population we did unspeakable crimes to are not necessarily the same. There are lines that can be crossed that limit my willingness of support. It’s not unconditional and they crossed them. Israel crossed them, not the jews.

I also feel past and present crimes the jewish people had to endure can be used to understand why Israel is acting the way it does but it can’t be a justification of their barbaric way of waging this war against Hamas.

In short, nothing will change. Sorry for the long reply, this shit really grinds my gears.
