Transfem@lemmy.blahaj.zone•Self-discovery vent/advice/support thingy? Idk?English
5·8 days agoOnly you are the expert on your own experience but what you have written here and in your previous brain goblin post is consistent with transfeminine experience and with our desperate pretransitional need for assurance, for signs, for authenticity, for a certainty to wield as truth against our own self-doubt. I had an experience, a revelation, which altered my self-theorization with respect to gender in a transfeminine way, changing the emotional context of my gendered memories, and placing me in touch with a traumatic realization that things didn’t have to be this way, that I could have been living a woman’s life all along, but afterwards I didn’t want to trust myself, trust that this was indeed the kind of experience from whence one’s gender is acquired, and preferred to wait for some unknown something to afford me additional insight by which to justify transition to myself and the world. Some of us are more gendery than others and there are many paths to self-knowledge, but if your experience is similar to mine, how long do you want to wait? What finally pushed me over the YOLO ledge was feeling that whether I was a trans woman or not I still wanted to start HRT and transition, thinking that surely only a trans person would want to transition, and trusting that I would find whatever certainty I needed along the way. In retrospect, searching for some true core gender identity didn’t really work for me but embracing my own agency and my process of becoming definitely did work. Recently I’ve been reflecting on whether the insecurity over seizing the means of our own self-production is a Capitalism thing. I kinda think you have a case of Capitalism.

Transfem@lemmy.blahaj.zone•Tucking Underwear and SwimsuitsEnglish
3·21 days agoFinding a size that will actually hold a tuck and also fit well is the hard part for me. Lexy B Blair thongs in medium work well, Little for Big in small are too tight but do hold, TomboyX in medium have too wide of a gusset but do hold. Little for Big got lose threads quickly but the others have held up. Two pairs of Kalon boyshorts in medium work okay for me in some pants.
But what about the mouthfeel?
This is not proper cum disposal
It went to feministminigolf.org which is down now, but you can read about the exhibit over at https://www.carlythomsen.com/rjminigolf

Trans Memes@lemmy.blahaj.zone•me when I hear the phrase "biological male(s)" 😖
7·1 month agoI was assigned a sex at birth, not born with one. Based on genital appearance alone at birth it would be prudent to assume my chromosomal sex and endocrinological sex might be classified as male as well by a medical provider. However that might not be the case at all. What is sex though really?

That’s a version of sex from Bean’s Velocci’s The history of sex research: Is “sex” a useful category?

Trans Memes@lemmy.blahaj.zone•me when I hear the phrase "biological male(s)" 😖
9·1 month agoTo me it seems obvious that ideas are tools made and modified by particular people for particular purposes. Ideas are not instantiated in the world. “Biological sex” as an idea is almost always a sciencey attempt to distinguish natural and normal sex/gender from unnatural and abnormal sex/gender. I am no more or less natural by virtue of being unusual. You do you, but I have no use for “biological male”.
Edit: Perhaps I should add that usual sex and gender seem to me very obviously socially constructed.

4·1 month agoI like to use “goddess look” instead of the other terms. Plenty of really cute trans women are visibly trans.
Another option is ready-to-use solution of estradiol valerate 50 mg and progesterone 250 mg, 20 USD/vial, 8 to 16 vials per packet. Custom EV/P ratio is possible, or EV + hydroxyprogesterone caproate.
You can inject progesterone! Some suppliers sell estradiol and progesterone combined in a single vial.
