I don’t see any argument how it is good for society. Schools, Medicare, and contraceptives are not comparable to elective, unnecessary, and wildly expensive procedures to satisfy an individuals view that their genes are somehow necessary and important to the world at large and they must produce progeny.
Why is this combined with forcing insurance coverage? That is a terrible idea. While I agree people people should have access, I don’t see any reason that I need to subsidize another person’s unnecessary desire to have children.
