Close! It’s a Boris Vallejo poster. :)
One of the lesser “warrior babes” b-movies of the '80s, but it’s still entertaining for what it is.
I enjoy the balls-to-the-wall sequel more, but Encounter of the Spooky Kind I is still an excellent fantasy-comedy/martial arts actioner. Sammo Hung is the G.O.A.T.
One of my favourite soundtracks ever! 🤘🏻
I mean, I’m a bit cuckoo and think that every B-movie is a masterpiece in its own special way. ;) But, yeah, you’re right, Repo Man is actually a genuine one. There are no rules that say that movies can’t be both.
Yup, that’s right! :)
As per Rotten Tomatoes: “Repo Man is many things: an alien-invasion film, a punk-rock musical, a send-up of consumerism. One thing it isn’t is boring.” I’m just gonna add that it’s also a brilliant satire. As a B-movie it’s in a league of its own…
A fun tongue-in-cheek slasher, made on an extremely low budget.
This is actually a lot more than your ordinary creature feature. The Alligator People is also a missing person mystery thriller and a relationship drama. It’s pretty great.
An over-the-top Japanese splatter flick with terrible (but fun) gore FX.
PM Entertainment mixes Robocop and The Terminator and adds Don ‘The Dragon’ Wilson.
An extremely low budget “horror movie” from prolific Spanish schlock master, Jess Franco.
I’m glad you had a good time with it! :)
A female-directed exploitationer that subverts genre conventions and examines the status of women in society.
A gorgeous-looking science fiction movie from Italian cult director, Mario Bava.
Not a great movie, but Blood Beach is still solid enough B-grade horror.
Yeah, a couple of minutes is normal, 48 hours (like in this case) is a bit excessive. ;) It only became visible after I edited a word…
I’m not sure why, but this post has apparently only been visible to people on my local instance? Weird! ¯_ (ツ)_/¯
I have been curious about this one. Shin’s Brotherhood was quite entertaining, and Simon Yam movies are always “a good time,” even the Cat. II ones.
