Patents that Nintendo certainly didn’t come up with, shouldn’t have and last but not least threaten smaller studios in the game industry. Since Pocketpal teamed up with Sony, I don’t consider them indie anymore but it’s true that they have to win this lawsuit for indie devs regardless. If Nintendo gets away with this you can say farewell to smaller game studios in Japan.

I can’t think of a way for this to be legal in the EU by any capacity. I really don’t. They’re essentially claiming they own your likeness just by using their app and I really doubt it’s that simple. It’s kind of like asking for your first born in a readme.txt of a github script. Just because you write something ridiculous doesn’t mean it’s legal.

Es ist eine erbarmungslose Ellenbogengesellschaft, die von ungebremster Korruption angetrieben wird. Weil alle betrügen kommst du ohne zu betrügen auch nicht weit, also betrügst du alles und jeden, mit dem du nicht blutsverwandt bist. Das ist zumindest der Eindruck von chinesischer Arbeitsmoral, den ich immer wieder zu hören kriege von Leuten innerhalb dieses Systems.

Die Klimakrise in den Griff zu bekommen ist sehr wichtig, allerdings ist es damit nicht getan.

Die meisten Fluten sind größtenteils auf das Wetter und direkte Eingriffe in natürliche Wasserströmungen zurückzuführen. Begradigte Flüsse müssen wieder befreit und Dämme (ja, auch Wasserkraftanlagen) teils zurück gebaut werden.

Die Überschneidung von katastrophalen Fluten und Dämmen in der Gegend ist nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Das sehen wir an Beispielen wie Österreich und ganz besonders China, wo es inzwischen fast jeden Monat schreckliche Fluten gibt, über die kaum noch wer berichtet. Die haben es einfach übertrieben damit, die Natur zu bändigen.

Ach so und der Friedrich ist natürlich ein ekelhafter Populist, der Nazis enabled und auch sonst im Privatjet an der Realität vorbei düst. Muss ich nicht dazu sagen, will ich aber.

Ich bin auch etwas mehr um die Menschen besorgt, als um die Ökonomie im speziellen.

That’s definitely just a spin-off. It’s an entirely different genre of game and was never intended to be sequel. Same goes for the choose-your-own-adventure one.

And it’s definitely worth the money! Just odd. I fully expected them to develop Minecraft 2 and 3 years ago to cash in and overwork some of the basics but that didn’t happen for better or worse, but probably better. It remains to be a truly unique game till this day.

Minecraft is also the only base game I know with a retail price that keeps going up instead of down. Quite bizarre if you think about it.
