People used to post this kind of stuff in order to troll but the barrier to enter internet discourse has been reduced to a level where even face value statements are catching friendly fire.

Taking a question like that at face value could mean they were being socially inept and lacking self awareness. It could also be motivated by jealousy if the target is getting more attention. The best approach is to fire back with both barrels, culminating in a physical altercation and criminal proceedings.

Seems like the Aussies assessed the evidence, figured out that social media does more harm than porn and took the appropriate action. The English worked backwards from the assumption that porn does more harm and allowed social media to continue spreading its poison. Classic English values.

One of the abiding childhood memories of hugging my mother is that it felt like hugging a tree. She obviously didn’t like it but wouldn’t reject the hug and it never prevented me from doing it but it struck me as odd, even as a ten year old. My dad would hug us normally and hold hands. Later on I realised that we’re probably all autistic and have sensory issues. These days I love hugs with my daughter and she always seeks my hand to hold.
