Dude isn’t even a political appointee. He’s a regular old career civil servant (GS-15 to be precise) who pretends he’s far more important than he is. He is a walking hatch act violation and I hope he eventually rots in prison and loses his pension.

It’s things like this that make me think the big automakers will eventually come out on top in the EV space.
Also, I wonder whether the extreme weight of electric vehicles has been factored into insurance premiums yet. I would think they would cause a lot more damage in collisions due to being so much heavier than other vehicles.
After a flight 10 years ago where we had to circle for 30+ mins before landing and I thought I was gonna piss myself, I ALWAYS piss right before descent if a flight is longer than 45 mins or so.
