it was, but her character brought next to nothing to it, other than being a straightperson, which adam scott’s character was already doing.

side note: adam scott’s character being the literal only person who didn’t “get” little sebastian makes me grin to this day when I think of it. even ron would go gaga

Rashida was in the very first episode, Adam Scott didn’t show up until season 2 or 3

honestly, when wifeo and I do a rewatch we skip season 1 entirely. it didnt know what the fuck it was yet and there was that tall person (who was, i guess supposed to be the straightperson) who they shit canned

“why would anyone ever eat anything other than breakfast foods?”

          “people are idiots, leslie”

Mark Brandanowitz! I actually didn’t think he was that bad. But Ben was better by a wide margin. It’s hard to beat Adam Scott.

Adam Scott doesn’t appear on the show until the second to last episode of season 2. There’s quite a lot of character development before his appearance, and his character doesn’t have a strong impact until season 3, i would say

We skip season 1 as well, but it’s only like 6 episodes. Season 2 was the first full season, and was substantially better.

Yeah, but the writing and acting was well done enough, that even if at the time you could separate it and make a pros cons list and tally it out, it still wouldn’t have felt right because Jim was so obviously in love with Pam and not her (and sometimes that happens irl too).
