A lot of Japanese cars are made in the US. Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Mazda, Hyundai and Kia all have manufacturing facilities in the US.

You know what cars aren’t manufactured in the USA? American cars. I drive a fusion and the only part I could find that wasn’t made in Mexico was the radio.

Anyone that has worked in automotive manufacturing can confirm. Most of the material comes packaged in boxes “shipped from” Mexico or China. It’s assembled in the US and so they say “Made in the U.S.A.”

Yeah, and because of NAFTA to build a car, parts were going across the border multiple times back and forth. So with tariffs that can increase the price much more.

It’s on both, but just learned that apparently it won’t impact the parts that going back and forth across the border. It looks like those additional tariffs which will affect it are still planned on April 2nd.

Yeah, but the quality is noticably better on the cars with J VINs. I have made sure every car I’ve ever gotten was built in Japan.
