The Walrus on Bluesky
“Pierre Poilievre has taken anger and frustration that should be directed at the chartered banks that earn billions, grocery chains that earn the same, and the rest of the gougers and redirected it at the Liberals,” writes @drmarkbourrie.bsky.social. thewalrus.ca/poilievre-finall…
Can’t speak to Greens or BQ, but every time the NDP has gotten into power, they’ve done so by betraying their principles and their base. And, as someone who’s had way more direct interaction with party insiders than I ever expected, the party machine is very much focused on electability, not serving the public.
So, call me sceptical. And cynical.
Unfortunately, all parties focus on electability… No potential for serving the public if you can’t get elected.
It’s still better to vote for parties that promise good policies or proportional representation (NDP/Greens/Bloc), than none at all (LPC/CPC).
