Maybe if people making $200k behaved as if they had class solidarity with those making $20k, then maybe both would understand that the former is working class.
But they don’t.
It’s not uncommon for people at that level in tech to be class conscious. I’d argue it’s probably at a higher rate than you would see in the trades or service industry.

Demonizing those people helps no one. This is just another wedge being driven in by the other side.

It’s true. The people at my workplace who make over 100k act with thinly veiled condescension and discrimination toward people who make less. I had a friend who got promoted and I saw the cultural conditioning happen in real time. We don’t hang out anymore.
The “middle class” is an invention the ruling class uses to lie to the working class, and the working class uses to lie to themselves.
