Two good questions for people to re-frame anti-Soviet propaganda:

    1. If the USSR was some Evil Totalitarian Empire doing 1984 to its populace, how come it simply… broke up peacefully?
    2. If the USSR was some starvation state unable to fulfill even basic human needs, how come every successor state had an immediate and sustained collapse in life expectancy and standards of living?

Never underestimate liberals’ ability to do space-warping levels of mental gymnastics

Also, in the years after USSR, how come they weren’t able to find any evidence of the supposed atrocities USSR was committing. Certainly wasn’t for lack of trying.

I find it so telling that for all the people who rushed to the Soviet archives in the early nineties, the only people who ultimately published their findings were people like Grover Furr in order to say “here’s some more confirmation of what I’ve been telling you.”
