In my defense. I pee fast, the bathroom is close, I can hear the movie while I wash my hands.

If I pause it, my husband will manage to wander off in the 2 minutes I was gone to fix a snack or something.

Then missing 2 minutes becomes a 20 minute side quest.

That’s not hurtful at all. I know how bad the movies I like are. I actually wonder how they made it this far without leaving my house and maybe the country.

That’s the most depressing thing I’ve ever heard, don’t trash yourself like that, things you love aren’t shit, if you love them, that means somebody did

It’s okay to have a niche, I also listen to retro songs and Game OSTs in my playlist and they all sound like a dinosaur being given an 8 bit piano, we are all weird in our own ways, and that’s fine NGL, I wouldn’t hate myself for it, and I don’t think you should either

Pro-tip: go back about a minute on the video so you will have audio playing for them without missing something.

I never catch everything on the first watch through, if something is amazing, I really really don’t mind missing bits, because I’m going to watch it again, and missing bits actually makes the next watch through feel more like a new version, with outtakes. Plus hearing someone who has already watched multiple times and loves the film, describing just small 2 minute windows, on your first watch through, gives you a whole new perspective on the film. I would argue, in some ways, it makes the experience better. It savours it.
