I know that 100% of batteries are made in China, but I’d like to buy one from an European shop. I need a battery for a pretty old laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad W540) which works fantastically well with Linux.

FYI Eneloop rechargeable batteries (AA and AAA) are made in Japan. I think some Makita power tool batteries are also made in Japan. I know that info doesn’t help you right now but felt somewhat relevant.
