That’ll do it. Country folks no matter the country seem to be a little slower on the uptake where anything queer is concerned - doubly so if they’re invested in an Orthodox religious community. Best of luck to you.
Maybe try sounding them out via someone else in the family that you can trust. Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, etc. might already know or be able to help you get a better read?

I think my parents are secular, and generally ok with gay ppl, but I’m scared that they won’t accept trans ppl
