I was partially disabled from a crash that bent me backwards and fractured several spinous processes but I had a more serious fracture on C1 and the base of my skull. I’ve wondered if I could have damaged my brain stem in some way that causes my issues. My cognitive function tested fine, but of course there is no way to test for brain stem damage or treat it. I’m very sensitive to inflammation worsening the pain. I guess it shows just how little we know and how much longer the scientific age of discovery will last.
