I recall seeing elsewhere (I think the solarpunk subreddit?) a few years ago that someone made a non-electric washing machine using a bicycle. Are there any tutorials anywhere someone could recommend me? I’d love to try and make one someday.

I found this, bit I don’t think it’s the best solution.
Depending on the tools are resources you have. If I had to create one I would start from a washing machine with broken motor and modify it to connect to bike chain instead of motor.

Thanks for the links! That first one I saved the PDF file for when I realized how long it is. My husband is handy with power tools, but there’s some stuff we might not have access to (like… the really big stuff), so maybe he can help me figure out a work-around or something.
