That reminds me of a few years ago when I was on Vyvance. I wanted to replace the gears, chain, petals, tires, breaks and shifters on my bike. I spent two days, 10-12 hours each day working on that bike. Everything was fine tuned to the most tiny tolerances. It was so finely tuned that I only ever had to make one tiny adjustment to the rear gear shift over the past 3 years.

During those two days I didn’t eat, drink water or take a break the entire time I was working on my bike. At the end of the day I was tired, cranky, sweating, feeling freezing cold, hungry and dehydrated. It was actually kinda awful but damn was that a hyperfocus.

I don’t take ADHD meds anymore, changing for the world isn’t worth the insanity anymore.
