China’s bankruptcy policy made me think of how conservatives argue that students with student loans need to pay their loans back and not pay their money frivolously, not understanding the exploitative system of US student loans which forces people into destitution in order to slightly improve their quality of life while they have to work most of their life to pay them off, and the people who spend frivolously at the expense of others are the rich, who also benefit from workers not being able to leave their job for better opportunities, afford homes and vacations, and not to mention the investments made off the student loan debt. Honestly, conservatives have some morals that are correct, but they are misplaced. I honestly believe many of the conservative proletariats are leftists but don’t realize it, and they are confused by the duopoly of our two-party system in which both parties manipulate and betray the working class. I hope the zeitgeist that RedNote is creating further radicalizes more people and unites people against the real enemy, the bourgeoisie.
Are you refering to the rural white working class in America who might not believe in the importance of post secondary education or who might not think that the student loan system are the source of exploitation of students? I want to know about the opinion of those conservative proletariats on the policies of loan and bankruptcy in Communist countries to know whether they have double standard. The presense of double standard could indicate that they are under the influence of historic material condition when they were once rich free riders from the free child labor and medical services from illegal human experimental subjects in the Indian Residential fake schools that secretly continued after 1998 and the free stolen inheritance from Indigenous children in fake cultural assimilation acts.
Sort of, I was referring to conservative proletariats more broadly, including others that don’t fit that description. I know rural and suburban white working class Americans tend to have other racist beliefs, often coming from fear, and benefit from racial discrimination/hyper-exploitation, though there tend to be some that are more open-minded and “esoteric” (not sure what word I am looking for) in which they have more potential to be slightly more easily re-educated and willing to work in solidarity of all peoples instead of just their own white neighbors. I tend to hear from leftists from older generations that there was a time they tried to unionize and would have succeeded if the ruling elite didn’t divide the masses by blaming immigrants as the problem. I’m curious what it would take to push such people away from white supremacy, patriarchy, imperialism, and nationalism, and how many have the historic material condition where they have benefited from hyper-exploitation of various minorities and natives as you said. I never had luck pushing any of them to the left, though, but seeing some of these people have an epiphany on Xiaohongshu gives me hope.
