I was wondering where i remembered this name from and well turns out i have lots of Tool in my CD rip collection but never really listened to it.

This album has been on my discogs wishlist for aaaaages. How can you tell when it’s a crappy bootleg?
Idk, I just assume all versions that are up for sale are bootlegs.
Are you sure it’s a bootleg? I just googled “lateralus vinyl” and found a legit store which sells a copy that looks just like yours.
I though bootlegs died in the 80s, who pirates vinyl anymore when digital is so easy to obtain? 🤔
Vinyl bootlegs are still quite common unfortunately. The bootleggers don’t have access to the original high quality recordings, and if they bother to master for vinyl at all it’s often just based on a CD or digital download source. So more often than not, the result is crap.
