There’s a movement to move most lemmy.ml-specific communities off of that instance and onto other instances, I’d recommend looking around for alternative communities to the ones you used before. A lot of people are tired of ml’s shitty moderation policies and overcentralization.
Except I’m back to spending most of my time on Reddit again because the communities I most care about just so happen to be home on lemmy.ml

Not with that attitude. The more people move, the more likely people will use the newer community and it’s seen plenty of success.
