    WOW

The first time I actually get the homophones the rest makes no sense :(.

Never heard of a scoop neck or boat neck but I thought it was supposed to be some kind of neck thing.

Also never heard of M or thou used for thousand.

Super 8 and super tuesday are also unknown concepts to me.

Guess I just sucked real hard today.

      Spoiler

M is the Roman numeral for 1000.

I didn’t get the supers myself, but I am familiar with them. Super 8 is a film format. As in the physical size of the film that goes into an analogue film camera.

Super Tuesday I’m sure has come up before. It’s an American political thing, referring to a day in the presidential primaries process where a large number of states have their primaries on the same day.

Ah the M makes sense now. I just seem to have forgotten the whole concept of those.

        tuesday

Might have come up but I am for Europe so the only thing I know about the US election is who wins and that the system is kind of dumb with the electors and shit.

I didn’t even get close to figuring out purple. It was just the left-overs.

Also “thou” was interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it used as a shortened form of “thousand”, outside of the very narrow context of people talking about Vietnamese currency. Interesting to see it show up in an American quiz game.

      Spoiler

Regarding “thou” used that way, it’s typically only used after another number, i.e. “ten thou” or “a hundred thou”. Even then, it’s not the most common expression.
