    Using MOVIES as an example is hilarious…ticket sales haven’t come close to rebounding after COVID. Seems there are a lot of people who already took it out of their budget to make room for groceries!

          We paid about 3$AUD per banana just over a decade ago. Cyclone Yazi had wiped out a fair portion of the plantations.

          I don’t want to imagine what they’d hit cost wise if that were to happen now.

            I remember when I was visiting Australia back 2009 I think and bananas were about $16 aud/kg. We were paying about $0.90 USD/lb. So if we multiply by 2.2 to convert to kilo and assume $1 AUD = $0.70 USD, it works out to $2.82 AUD/kg.

            Pretty darn close in price before the storm.
