Democrat should do what Republicans have done for the last four years and make sure absolutely fucking nothing happens in government. Then, four years from now, run a presidential campaign on how ineffective Trump was.

It worked for the Republicans this year, why not the Democrats in four?

4 years of absolutely nothing would be a godsend for Trump. If he got nothing done in 4 years he would be looking at a minimum of 2 years of a good stock market from the economic tailwind of Biden policies that two more years of stagnation wouldn’t erase. You would then be looking at president Vance with an election that makes this look like minor leagues.

Not to mention, Trump voters aren’t going to hold him accountable regardless.

If you want anyone left of MAGA to care, you’d be hoping he gets his stuff passed so people can see what they voted for.

It worked for Republicans because Democrats are ineffective at governing. That’s just a fact, and it remains a fact even when they have the majorities they need (or don’t need them). It’s just how centrists are. Republicans, for all their flaws, know what they want to do and will do anything to achieve it.

Obama’s first term? And in the first place why the fuck do they keep the filibuster when it keeps getting used against them? That alone is ineffective governing. Also they’re ineffective even in the executive branch so it’s obviously not about the filibuster.

Idk I guess it’s crazy that all it takes is 1 or 2 senators to block everything. Really, we should get rid of the senate.

It’s so ridiculous that those lazy sons of bitches changed the laws so that they don’t even have to filibuster, they just have to announce that they plan to and it’s considered a filibuster.

Democrats netted one seat in the House

so much for that ‘historic’ landslide bullshit they’ve been trying to sell.

how much to buy off 3-4 house republicants? someone should start a crowdfunding campaign.

I mean they won all 7 swing states and the Senate, and in return have a slightly weaker majority in the house. It’s not a historic landslide, but they’re in a very strong position for the next two years.
