I can’t stand people throwing that argument around. There’s a huge difference between ignoring reality (aka ‘sticking your head in the sand’) and not wanting to be flooded with endless coverage of the same topic/asshoes; especially if it’s causing unwanted stress. Like, I am an adult with object permanence; I know things exist and are happening even if I need to look away for a while lol.
