I’ve been thinking along the same lines, except I think there are different red lines for different groups of people. Domestic deployment of the military was a red line for some, violating the first amendment by blackmailing broadcasters is a red line for others. A lot of people still don’t pay attention so they will need a much bigger brighter red line. If we go into another recession like 2008, that will be it for a lot of people.
