ATTENTION EVERYONE

The new 12th Ward represents the majority of the Brighton Park and McKinley Park neighborhoods.

This is Julia Ramirez, alderwoman for the 12th district.

She endorsed a plan to improve street safety.

Drivers are angry. A woman called Claudio Zuno is urging drivers to protest again bike lanes in front of Ramirez’s office.

“Concrete barriers are a safety issue for cars, unlike the soft squishy people on bikes we would hit instead!”

We should probably be impressed that they only say the first part loud for now and we haven’t reached the point yet where terminal car brains openly advocate for killing people in the name of their 4-wheeled metal gods.

There have been some advocating for murder for over a decade in the UK if you look at comments on posts about bikes.

The article is all like “if we restrict the cars the other drivers start threatening our lives!” - the drivers

Cyclists should protest by getting together, getting in cars (one each, natch), and driving around the neighborhood. Give 'em the traffic congestion they crave.
