It is likely that every Republican candidate for the rest of our lives will be a fascist. Ultimately Democratic insiders control the primary. They are after all a private club legally speaking. That means that sometimes, you have to be willing to punish your own side at the general. Otherwise the insiders have no reason to change the direction of the party. Again, it’s fascist Republicans from here on out. What you are advocating for is for us to permanently refuse to ever hold the Democrats accountable when they abandon their base. Again, there will never be an election in our lifetime where the opponent isn’t a literal fascist. This is just the new normal.
