Preeeeetty sure there’s a South Park episode about what we are all imagining right now.
But… does it have to go up my ass?
Yes, all the way up.
Prolonged passive vibration of Achilles and patellar tendons decreases effort perception during subsequent cycling tasks https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2095254625000407?via=ihub
Highlights
• Compared to the sham condition, the cycling exercise post-vibration was associated with increased power output, heart rate, and vastus lateralis EMG. • Tendon vibration, by attenuating fusimotor-driven afferents, decreases effort perception. • The precise neural mechanisms by which tendon vibration affects effort perception remain to be investigated. • Tendon vibration may be an interesting tool to facilitate physical activity engagement in inactive populations.Or, placed somewhere… else, they could just distract significantly from the strain.
remember the chess vibrator scandal?
That’s actually brilliant idea. A small along of vibration could greatly reduce friction.
“A small along of vibration could greatly reduce friction.”
What?
alongamountWhat?
“A small amount of vibration could greatly reduce friction”
Than why the reply with along amount?
I done many times long trips (1-hr. more, many of those times were 70-miles) & heavy loads on my back, almost every time never needing to call to get picked-up. So I would never this, to keep me going. With surgery repaired feet (top 10, in my state for that year, Doc. made deal about it), reason I started into bicycling everywhere, instead of walking. Either get it done or I would have walk in real pain the long distance, with the heavy backpack, for a lot longer time.
With that said, for others it must be awesome, but I question it’s need. Just train your mind, in small steps.
