Has anyone read these books, and are they any good?
Link below for clarity on which novels I’m talking about.

I went on an Alien novel reading kick and can recommend a few.
My favourites are Alien phalanx, Alien Cold Forge, and Aliens Into Charybdis. The novelizations are so-so, they capture the feel of the movies well, but I feel you might as well watch the movie at that point.
The other novels can be hit or miss, but they scratch the itch.
I second Cold Forge—really captured the alien universe quite nicely. I didn’t get much from Into The Charybdis though.

Exact bar I was looking to hit
Love the movies (mainly). Not a huge fan of the novelizations and didn’t read any of the comics, found them to be fairly hit and miss.
Nothing stands out to me so they are for the most part inoffensive.
They were simple and short enough that I would suggest giving one or more a crack and seeing if they gel for you.
Alien : Out of the Shadow is available on Amazon as a full cast audio drama on Audible if you prefer an Audiobook to reading.
Oooo nice, may check out that audio book first. Thank you.
P.s. the show that just came out has been pretty good so far
Just finished watching it myself. It seems a.bit muddled right now but I will give Noah Hawley a lot of lee way after Legion, judging that show on its first season would ha e robbed me of so much good mind bending fun in the later seasons.
