Organizers are planning what they anticipate will be the largest "No Kings" protests yet, targeting what they call authoritarianism under President Donald Trump.
i didn’t say or imply that at all. i said this would be a way to make an extended strike any day of the week, while allowing those in a more fragile situation to also participate.
OR rather as a way for executing a longer, more effective strike (say, until they undo X policy, or Y politician renounces), which can become sort of a long war of attrition. that’s since single-weekend demonstrations aren’t getting quite the results.
did i at any moment say “today’s protest” should be canceled or something?
No, but then why is getting food and protection an excuse not to organize a march on a weekday (which is what I was originally talking about)?
