It’s part of the constitutional framework. Might as well uphold it. Freedom of religion - if it’s none at all, whatever or science, the constitution protects the citizens right. The fact there’s a terrorist regime attempting to rewrite or disavow it doesn’t change the document: it changes the “authority” of the offending “offices” to nil.

Man, I think at this point we kind of have to face the fact that the document is a bit outdated for facing modern political problems.
That’s exactly what fascists want one to think, so they needle away, and chip at it, chewing corners here and there - defy a judge, murder a couple citizen protesters, tell a few lies about all of it;
All of the sudden - 30K people are mowed down with anti-aircraft guns because they stongly disagree with the ones holding the anti aircraft guns about what their life is worth. The streets run red with blood, the open graves get a fresh layer of lye - and the rich sit there and eat popcorn thanking their bank rolls that some people will pull a trigger for a few measly bucks.
Just throwing it out there that repression of LGBT+ people isn’t solely the domain of America.
And among Western nations I would argue the UK is the worst offender at present.
