Context
This is just a dumb inside joke. A trivia question was “what is the world’s largest reptile” and I jokingly told my team blue whales. They didn’t think it was as funny as I did, so I’ve just sort of been saying it to entertain myself, sort of as a protest.
Weren’t there whales, currently extinct, exceeding modern blue whales? Perucetus seems to be one formerly estimated as such, but subsequently found to have been smaller.
