I saw this photo a while ago on the internet … someone had taken a modern photo of this location as it looks like today. It’s special to be able to stand and look at a location that was once inhabited by so many generations of humans. It makes one realize just how little time we spend in this reality we call life.

That’s depressing. They ceded that land to assholes in 1895.
