Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, also a New York Democrat, had the worst numbers of the four congressional leaders, 24 percent approval against 54 percent disapproval. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a South Dakota Republican, had the lowest approval at 21 percent, but fewer voters disapproved of him at 46 percent.

If the Dem party truly listened to its base, it’d have been Bernie 2016…

but we all see how things turn out with the DNC of today… and the DNC of yesterday.

It’s not a rebellion. It is that we want a party, we voted for to represent us. It’s not their party, it’s the voters party.

Change.org is a great way to feel like you did something, while doing nothing at all.

Call and write your representative, that way you are actually heard.

Did you know that people who post these polls get paid per signature on Change.org? It’s an engagement grift.

Literally don’t sign the Chang.org petition. It is a waste of time, and legitimizes a useless service.

Did you know that people who post these polls get paid per signature on Change.org? It’s an engagement grift.

According to change.org, they get paid 95% of donations made to that specific campaign. Do you have any reputable, non-social media sources that substantiates this “per signature” claim? I gave it an admittedly cursory search and couldn’t find anything that wasn’t an unsubstantiated social media post.

100% agree. Even if change.org is largely benign, it’s the type of media that serves to alleviate frustration without driving any actual change: a great recipe for maintaining the status quo.

I realize now why he met with Kushner. I think he was jealous Mamdani had established a relationship with the President and as a result felt upstaged. So in his fragile little mind he thought meeting with Jared would demonstrate a similar type of political power.

Jefferies is an AIPAC recipient. Kushner is Trump’s bribery guy. And Israel’s as well. Maybe Russia and the Saudies.

Point being, there’s only one reason to meet with Kushner, and that’s some form of bribery.

He isn’t merely an AIPAC recipient. He is one of the top 20 recipients of AIPAC/Pro-Israel money in American politics.

A separate OpenSecrets historical table puts Jeffries’ total from pro-Israel PACs and individuals at $1,741,230 through the 2024 election cycle. That placed Jeffries 11th among the top 20 recipients listed and slightly ahead of fellow New York Democrat Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader, at $1,727,974.

Israel is paying these two millions to keep American tax dollars flowing. I for one am sick of my tax dollars going to Israel so they can give their citizens free healthcare and higher education while we pay for their fucking war.

Jeffries is trying to get ahead of the pack… and the general public has been like… “fuck you!” For it.

No, it’s not too early. The leadership of both houses starting in January is being decided now. Now is exactly the time for this.

And people are not sayin “Fuck you!” because he’s getting ahead of the pack, they’re saying it because he is not the person that should be leading the House. He has said he is not interested in impeaching Trump despite the the myriad high crimes and misdemeanors Trump is clearly guilty off, saying “The American people don’t want us to get even; they want us to get things done on their behalf.” That may even be true, but one of the major things Americans want done is Medicare for All, and you know what? He’s publicly come out against that too. Finally, he is in the top 20 recipients of Pro-Israel/AIPAC money in Congress according to Opensecrets.org. He, like Schumer, is focused on sending our tax money to Israel (whose people already get free health care) rather than taking care of the needs of the American people who put the Democrats in charge of Congress.

He and Schumer and the rest of the old guard need to piss off.

Jeffries might want to run it by the Minority Leader first. What if the GOP prefers a different Speaker? I fear there isn’t enough reaching across the aisle here.
