I’m not sure if anyone else has ever really noticed this but there are the three verses in the song Caffeine and one of them always stood out to me.
You’ve got the first verse with Jeff Williams singing lines like
Guzzle down your Red Bull, you're gonna need a bucket full,
You're watching me accelerate and tear apart the interstate.
And Casey Williams following him up with lines like
I'm hyperdrive, overdrive, hit the gas at fifty-five,
Breakneck, trainwreck, in my presence genuflect,
Where both verses are clearly using the caffeine theme to imply they’re high-energy people, then meanwhile the last verse is just…
We can do up an espresso, or the cappuccino way.
Sure to get your fix, venti or grande.
Sugar, Splenda, Equal, maybe Sweet'N Low.

Since this is Team CFVY’s theme, I tend to imagine them in a recording booth actually singing the song themselves and it always turns into Fox and Velvet busting out their lines and then Yatsuhashi comes in and just starts spouting stuff about actual coffee and the other two have to quietly hold in their laughter. Meanwhile Coco’s losing her shit in the control booth.
I think the bigger thing here is that Red Bull is apparently a thing in Remnant.
Kek, the same song makes reference to Otis Redding. The full version of “I Burn” also makes references to Super Saiyan, Human Torch, and Johnny Blaze (one of the Ghost Riders, I believe).
But you reminded of a meme I saw probably on r/FNKI – the Tom vs. Spike dueling meme with the two sides arguing why Yang is or isn’t Chinese with another panel of Jerry squinting at the camera and the text “Yang isn’t Chinese because China doesn’t exist on Remnant”.
Oh god yeah, and ‘I Burn’ is diegetic so is actually canon. The idea of Weiss being a Dragon Ball fan is funny though.
China might not exit in Remnant, but London apparently does (Big Metal Shoe calls out London Bridge).

Yang you mean :P But it would be hilarious if it turned out Weiss was into Dragon Ball. Everyone expecting her to sing some aria in the karaoke booth and suddenly she busts out with CHA-LA! HEAD CHA-LA!
Casey is Weiss’ canon singing voice so Weiss is the one singing it in universe. It always funny to think about when they make a song diegetic like this.
Oh yeah, fair enough, although taking it that way raises A LOT of questions when Casey is also Neo’s actual voice actress. Cue the old Superman memes – have we ever seen Weiss and Neo in the same room? (DW I know the answer is “yes”).
There’s a fanfic in here somewhere about Weiss being a fake rock star and Neo being her ghost singer.
I know I’ve seen a couple of AU fics floating around with Neo Politan being Weiss’s stage name so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a few along the lines of what you said already.
