It’s not paranoia if there’s a nuclear armed imperialist power constantly threatening nuclear war while actually positioning fast deployment nuclear weapons as close as possible to your borders.
It’s especially not paranoia when said imperialist power already used nuclear bombs TWICE on a defeated country on 2 populated cities.
Not to mention they did it specifically to threaten USSR
