Some Thoughts on Sayyed Hassan
I think his death has stung the most for me when it comes to leaders murdered by the zionist entity.
I know people in my community who still follow Sayyed Hassan as a Marja, as if he were an Ayatollah (he was not), and who still hold him to the same regard as Marja like Khamenei, Khomeini, Sistani, Shirazi, etc. Of all the resistance leaders, Nasrallah is who I’d say is the most beloved among my community.
I think a description that Norm Finkelstein gave about him was memorable. He once described Nasrallah as the “Islamic Lenin” in terms of his intelligence and strategic thinking when confronting Israel.
With the Hezbollah he left behind, I am cautiously optimistic that before the end of my life, perhaps before the end of this decade, Israel will be blown away like a mere spider’s web, just as he envisioned.
