Advocates have told The 19th that violence prevention is one of the most underfunded aspects of the movement to end gender-based violence, and is often the first program to be eliminated when budgets tighten.
Raj said many people look to law enforcement as a primary solution, but she argued that’s not adequate.
“Most people don’t turn to the criminal justice system when these things happen,” Raj said. “You can’t have a criminal justice response for 50 percent of the population — that’s not going to work. We need to be building community responses. Economic responses are really key.”
I kind of assume that everything is worse than I can even fathom in every way these days
Conservatives have always celebrated violence against the vulnerable. They openly cheered the deaths of AIDS victims in the 80’s and 90’s, laughed and joked about all the gay-bashing they were responsible for, and continue to belittle and berate any LGBTQ+ person they can.
Conservatives are biologically unable to experience empathy, which is why all of their relationships are so shallow. Women and children are property to a conservative. A conservative loves his wife and kids the way a teenager loves a sportscar. Deep emotions are impossible for a conservative.
Conservatives are truly, deeply evil. As long as they continue to live, they will bring misery, oppression and death to everyone around them. That is the only purpose of a conservative… to harm others.
