Join the lemmy.ml boycott today and help foster a better Lemmy-verse! No more posts, comments (except to counter their propaganda ofc!) or upvotes on any comms on the Lemmy.ml instance!
And consider donating to individual instances instead
Davel is really holding back this entire project.
If he could just shut the fuck up and stop being a mod lemmy would be way more popular.
Dessalines and Davel are the reason Lemmy has the poor reputation that it does outside of here. People check out Lemmy from elsewhere, make the mistake of committing wrongthink on a .ml comm, get banned, and end up quitting the platform entirely and telling everyone else about how they were mistreated. It’s not welcoming, and makes it more difficult for the platform as a whole to grow.
And, of course, being a Lemmy developer, Dessalines is also stifling its development by wasting their time banning people and hunting for dissenters instead of letting their moderators do their job.
Tankies are like children. They assume their fantasies are true.
They accurately recognize that they live in a corrupt regime that seeks to exploit them.
They think therefore anyplace America says is bad must be good. However they fall victim to believing the grass is greener, in an age where we can see past everyone’s fence thanks to Google Maps.
PS: No one in North Korea can use Lemmy because Kim is the only one allowed to use the internet.
get back to work dessalines
“It’s not oppression, it’s just a culture difference!” - Dessalines, probably
Don’t you know that a dissenting opinion (or even a statement of fact that the mighty mods of .ml don’t like) is bigotry?
Is there a way to get my account completely banned by lemmy.ml so THEY cannot see what I post?
I earned my site ban by making memes about them in !lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world lmao
Another quick way would probably be dropping the workaround link for MWoG around on their instance https://lemmy.world/c/meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works or the recap post link https://lemmy.world/post/29072279
@Supernova1051@sh.itjust.works had a neat post template to encourage others to boycott the .ml instance and pointing them to the relevant non.ml comm alternative and was posting it to all the .ml comms they’d been subscribed to. He was perma-site banned within the day for that one LMAO
Wow not even Reddit allows bans on one sub reddit for something that happened in another.
They happen anyway but they’re technically against the rules.
I frequently engage with right-wing people to ask questions for fun and occasionally swaying the odd user. That caught me a LOT of subreddit bans from nominally left but actually just captured lib spaces.
Actual left spaces saw no problem with this, even encouraged it.
Back when I used reddit “You have been permanently banned from” was the most common sentence I read
Then one day I was banned from the whole fucking site
Clown show of a website
It’s very common on Reddit to get banned for things posted on other subs.
nah reddit does do this
I know they do, but in their official rules they forbid it, even though it happens all the time
LOL, and then they’ll turn around and say that “.world is the most reddit like instance full of reddit mods” 😂
Thanks. I will try one or all of those.
I almost forgot! What really seemed to piss them off was when I was doing new user welcome posts and included a blurb about them, it pissed davel off so much they UN sitebanned me so their users could brigade the posts and then re-banned me later LMAO
