The issue is people like my friend who thinks he’s going to go work in data centers because ai is totally the future (he’s an idiot that believes he’s a genius, and that ancap philosophy is foolproof, oh and he hates lgbtq people. I ask myself this sometimes. He is just following the wrong path and really likes to be a contrarian on everything, so he gravitates to bad content. He is at least receptive to other viewpoints so its not a total lost cause. He has a deep seated mistrust of government but for some reason blind worship of corporations (see:atlas shrugged). Which I know is a paradox since they are one and the same.
