CoMaps contributors Anton Wenemoser and Bastian Greshake Tzovaras spoke with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team about how CoMaps was used during the earthquake response in Venezuela: https://hotosm.org/en/news/comaps-the-offline-app-that-guided-rescuers-without-a-signal-in-the-venezuela-response/
This prompted me to update my app:) Looking super smooth!
Anyone know how the ‘share maps offline’ feature works?
I don’t know of this feature so I wanted to say that they just copied the map files manually, as opposed to downloading from servers, but it doesn’t sound like that:
Technical improvements had already been made, like the ability to share downloaded maps from a local device
Anyone only what that’s actually referring to?
You have to set up a server currently.
It’s documented here: https://www.comaps.app/support/how-can-i-host-a-custom-map-server-for-downloads/
