It’s not the 747 he got from Qatar, it just looks like a standard single floor aircraft with slightly funky wings.

The thing is, no aircraft manufacturer is looking at doing anything new right now. They’re all waiting for the next leap (heh) in engine design. So all this could be is the US giving lots of taxpayer money to a manufacturer for a plane that will be obsolete soon after it enters service.
