I also wish my vegans to be politically aligned (like I do all people close to me) alas we live in a pretty apolitical society too. My lib-left vegan sister takes out moths and successfully stopped my parents from mowing their lawn but she will be pissed as fuck if I as communist do any critique of the system. That however makes her not less vegan in my eyes. If she would lose her faith in the system, I am pretty sure she would also consider real activism.

I’m mostly curious what youngsters call a vegan who doesn’t use animal products at all, not just foodstuff, now that they’ve decided that vegan means vegetarian and vegetarian means ovo-lacto-vegetarian.
