Epic games store is now also coming to Linux

Alongside Gog announcing Linux support is coming, GeForce now being released on Linux, and Steams excellent Linux support, it’s going to be impossible to look past Linux as a serious gaming platform.

      Pretty much 😂

The good news is that an official gog client is on the way too, and steam is already available

The real benefit of this is solely that it’s likely that there will be more Linux native games, and even more work towards projects like wine

I won’t be installing this. I switched my rog Ally x from Windows to steam os. I have no plans to switch back

A GoG Linux client would have me collecting on their platform constantly. As it stands, my entire library with them is currently in stasis essentially until then. I’m too lazy to mess around with setting up all the compatibility layers myself.

I don’t know what epic could do at this point, they tried to built up peoples libraries by offering free games and it didn’t seem to be enough

Absolutely. I would never install it, but it’s a win either way

And I hope nobody installs it
